The AR experience guides visitors through the Basilica, highlighting key artworks, altars, and architectural details in a logical sequence. We recommend moving clockwise inside the church, which corresponds to the arrangement of all the AR points bellow ensuring a smooth and complete experience.
Ornament on the Facade
Start outside by scanning a decorative feature located to the left of the entrance of the Basilica (the entrance closest to the Vaporetto Salute stop).
Plaque on the Central Column
After entering the Basilica, turn left and proceed to the center of the church where the map of the church is located. Scan the plaque on the left side of this map, attached to a column.
Altare dell’Annunciazione
Proceed to the first altar on your left and scan the altarpiece painting to learn more about the scene of the Annunciation.
Altare di Sant’Antonio
Continue to the next altar on the left and scan the painting to discover the history and artistic details of this altar.
Altare della Discesa dello Spirito Santo
Move further along the clockwise path and scan the base/platform below the painting for additional information.
Main Altar
Approach the central altar and scan the icon on the floor to access insights about the Basilica’s central devotional object.
Altare della Natività di Maria
Continue clockwise to the next altar and scan the painting to explore the story of the Virgin Mary’s birth.
Altare dell’Assunta
Proceed to the following altar and scan the painting depicting the Assumption of Mary.
Altare della Presentazione di Maria
Move to the next altar and scan the painting showing Mary’s presentation in the Temple.
Exterior Plaque on the Facade (Campo della Salute)
Conclude the experience outside by heading to the exterior of the Basilica and scanning the plaque on the building.
